Yachtley Crew is a Los Angeles band formed in 2017 that performs the soft rock and pop of the late 1970s and early 1980s — the smooth, studio-polished style retroactively labelled yacht rock. The group plays the material without irony in the arrangements themselves, covering songs associated with acts such as Christopher Cross, Toto and Michael McDonald, while adopting nautical stage dress and personas. They built a following through club and theatre shows in Southern California before touring more widely, and are among the better-known bands working in the yacht rock tribute format.
