Ado is a Japanese singer who began posting covers online as an utaite before releasing 'Usseewa' in 2020, a song that became a major hit in Japan and established her raw, heavily inflected vocal style. She performs without showing her face, appearing on stage as a silhouette behind a screen or accompanied by animated visuals.
Her material is largely written and produced by Vocaloid-scene composers, and combines rock instrumentation with dense electronic arrangements. In 2022 she provided the singing voice of the character Uta in the film 'One Piece Film: Red', whose soundtrack songs were widely successful in Japan. She has since toured internationally while maintaining her anonymity.
