Barcelona's tribal-industrial duo — chants and drum machines in lockstep, EBM pulse with a Mediterranean ritual streak.
Dame Area is a duo based in Barcelona, formed by Silvia Konstance and Viktor L. Crux. Their music combines drum machines and analogue electronics with live percussion, repetitive chanted vocals and an EBM-derived pulse, and the results sit between industrial, post-punk and tribal rhythm music. Vocals appear in several languages, and the arrangements tend to be built from short, insistent loops rather than conventional song structures.
The pair also run their own label and are connected to the wider Spanish and European underground electronic and post-industrial scenes. Their live shows place a strong emphasis on physical percussion performance alongside the machines.
