Barcelona rapper whose deadpan Spanish trap arrived with an immediately recognisable sneer — viral freestyles and a delivery that turns minimalism into menace.

BB Trickz was born Belize Nicolau Kazi in 2000 and raised in Barcelona. Her mother, of Canadian and Bengali descent, works as an acupuncturist; her father, a DJ and producer who goes by An Der Beat, plays Brazilian funk. As a child she modelled for adverts and school textbook covers and sang in the group Oh!Cake & The Cookie. She has said she was bullied at school.

She began rapping under the name BB Trickz in September 2022, taking it from Beatrix, the character in Kill Bill her mother let her watch as a childhood birthday treat. Her debut single, 'Missionsuicida', released in April 2023, sampled the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit theme, and a snippet of the follow-up, 'Bambi', went viral on TikTok in 2024.

Signed to Virgin Music Group, she released her first EP, Trickstar, in 2023, its beats built from tracks downloaded off YouTube, followed by Sadtrickz through Sony later that year. She performed live for the first time at Rolling Loud in Portugal, appeared in Veeze's video for 'Overseas Baller', and featured on a Charli XCX remix in 2024.

Her records typically run around ninety seconds, built from sample drill and other American hip-hop influences, and she has said she freestyles rather than writes her lyrics. She names Cash Cobain, Shawny Binladen and Amy Winehouse as reference points, has drawn comparisons to Ice Spice, and has also faced criticism from some quarters over appropriating an urbano aesthetic.
