hey, nothing is a duo from Atlanta, Georgia, made up of Harlow Phillips and Tyler Freeman. The pair began sharing songs online in the early 2020s and built an audience through short, spare recordings that circulated widely before any conventional release.

Their music is quiet and largely acoustic, built on close two-part harmony, fingerpicked guitar and small string and keyboard touches. The writing draws on southern imagery and religious language, and the arrangements stay deliberately unfinished-sounding, with room noise and hesitation left in place. Songs tend to be short, and the delivery rarely rises above a hush even when the material turns bleak.
