Hotline TNT is the project of Will Anderson, a songwriter who grew up in Minnesota, spent time in Vancouver playing with the band Weed, and later based the project in New York. The music sits in the shoegaze tradition — layered, distorted guitars and vocals mixed low into the noise — but the underlying writing tends toward compact, melodic pop structures. The 2023 album Cartwheel, released by Third Man Records, brought wider attention and led to extensive touring, with the live lineup expanding around Anderson.
