Jungle
London production duo working in stacked falsetto and clipped disco guitar, with videos built around single-take dance routines.
Jungle is the work of Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, who grew up together in west London and initially released music anonymously, credited only as J and T. The debut album arrived in 2014 with Busy Earnin' and Time, both cut in a small home studio, and the group expanded to a larger band for touring.
The choreography is central to how the records are presented: videos for Julia and Heavy, California use continuous takes of dancers in ordinary streets and car parks, and later albums were released as full-length dance films. Later singles include Keep Moving and Back on 74.
