SHDW is a German producer and DJ who works most often in partnership with Obscure Shape, the pair releasing together and running their own label. The sound is dark, heavily reverberant techno with long, slow-building arrangements, prominent low end and a stark, almost ceremonial quality — music shaped for large, cavernous spaces rather than intimate rooms. The duo's records became closely identified with the German club circuit and with the harder, atmospheric end of contemporary techno.
