Five Finger Death Punch

1 festival played

Las Vegas heavyweights who turned groove-metal riffs and big clean choruses into one of modern hard rock's most reliable arena draws.

Five Finger Death Punch formed in Las Vegas in 2005, founded by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer, with Ivan Moody on vocals and Chris Kael later joining on bass. Their debut album, The Way of the Fist, arrived in 2007 and established the template they have worked with since: downtuned groove-metal riffing, half-shouted verses and melodic, heavily layered choruses.

The band became one of the more commercially durable American metal acts of the 2010s, a fixture on rock radio and at large outdoor shows. Alongside their own material they are known for covers, including a version of Bad Company's "Bad Company," and for songs such as "Wrong Side of Heaven." Andy James took over lead guitar duties in later years.
