Lzzy Hale's Grammy-winning powerhouse — the loudest voice in modern hard rock, delivered nightly with full-throttle sincerity.

Halestorm began in Red Lion, Pennsylvania in the late 1990s as a project between siblings Lzzy Hale, on vocals and guitar, and drummer Arejay Hale, who were still children when they started playing together. The line-up was later completed by guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith, and the band signed to Atlantic before releasing its self-titled debut in 2009.

Their music is straightforward hard rock with metal and post-grunge inflections, built around Lzzy Hale's wide, powerful voice. The band won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for "Love Bites (So Do I)," from the album The Strange Case Of..., and has since released further records including Into the Wild Life, Vicious and Back from the Dead. They are known primarily as a live act, having toured almost continuously since the debut.
