Hanson are three brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma — Isaac, Taylor and Zac — who formed the band in the early 1990s while still children. Their 1997 single "MMMBop" was an international hit and made them one of the decade's best-known pop acts. Rather than fading with that moment, they continued as a working band, moving to independent operation with their own label and building a catalogue of pop-rock and blue-eyed soul songs.
Live, they play their own instruments, with Taylor on keyboards and lead vocals, Isaac on guitar and Zac on drums, and all three contributing the close sibling harmonies that have remained the group's most recognisable feature.
