Dutch producer whose breakout single became one of the most-played club records of its year — 'Drugs from Amsterdam' bounce, still going.
Mau P is the tech house alias of Dutch producer Maurice West, who had previously released big-room and electro house records under his own name. The project took off with "Drugs From Amsterdam" in 2022, a rolling, bass-led track with a spoken vocal hook that became a fixture in club and festival sets that year. Subsequent singles have followed a similar template of dry drums, prominent basslines and repeated vocal phrases, and he has continued to tour internationally as a DJ under the name.
