New York composer who moves between abrasive rap production and hours-long ambient works with equal seriousness — two extremes, one uncompromising voice.

OHYUNG is a composer and producer based in Brooklyn who works across two fairly distinct modes. One is a hard, dissonant strain of rap production; the other is long-form ambient composition, most prominently the extended 2022 record imagine naked!, which stretches across roughly two hours of slow-shifting drone and processed tone. Alongside the solo work, OHYUNG scores film and video, and the electronic and experimental sides of the catalogue tend to share an interest in texture and duration rather than conventional song structure.
