Anderson from Crazyhead
Voice of Leicester's Crazyhead, the late-80s grebo outfit who welded garage-rock snarl to biker-rock riffs — that same growl, carried forward under his own name.
Crazyhead came out of Leicester in the mid-1980s, with Anderson on vocals and a sound that sat somewhere between garage punk, hard rock and the scruffy, riff-heavy noise the British press labelled grebo. They signed to Food Records and released the album "Desert Orchid" in 1988, working the same circuit as Gaye Bykers on Acid and Pop Will Eat Itself. Anderson has continued to perform the material under his own name, keeping the band's blunt, blues-tinged attack and his gravelled delivery intact.
