Catbite formed in Philadelphia in 2018 and play ska and rocksteady with a punk edge, fronted by vocalist Brittany Luna. The band draws on the bounce of early Jamaican rocksteady and the energy of American ska-punk, with horn lines, upstroke guitar and a rhythm section built for dancing.
They have become one of the more visible names in the current wave of ska bands, releasing records through the DIY-oriented ska label Bad Time Records and touring widely in the underground punk and ska circuit.
