CORTIS
HYBE's youngest boy band — self-producing K-pop upstarts on a rocket trajectory, writing and arranging their own material from debut.
CORTIS consists of five members, James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon and Keonho, and stands as BigHit Music's third group after BTS and Tomorrow X Together. They debuted on August 18, 2025 with the single "What You Want," whose choreography was performed on treadmills, following a pre-debut single called "Go!" filmed in Los Angeles.
None of the members hold fixed roles, splitting songwriting, production, videography and choreography between them. James had trained in a earlier BigHit unit and written and choreographed for other label acts before this group formed; Martin sang in a children's choir and carried Iceland's flag at the 2018 Winter Olympics before turning to production; Juhoon modelled as a child; Keonho competed as a swimmer.
Their debut EP, Color Outside the Lines, entered the Billboard 200 at number 15, the second-highest opening for a K-pop act's debut album, and set first-day sales marks on its way past two million copies sold. The group's name is drawn from six letters inside that title, and their fandom calls itself Coer.
A 2026 single, "RedRed," became their biggest hit to date, reaching number one on the Circle Digital Chart, and the group has picked up honors at the Asia Artist Awards, the MAMA Awards and the Golden Disc Awards.
