The Honey Dewdrops are the duo of Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish, who have been performing together since the late 2000s and are now based in Baltimore. Their arrangements are deliberately spare — two voices in close harmony, with clawhammer banjo, mandolin and guitar, including electric guitar on later material.
Rooted in Virginia old-time and Appalachian traditions, their songwriting has moved gradually toward quieter, more open-ended folk, and they have self-released most of their albums while touring steadily as a duo.
