Songs that sound recorded live in a crowded room by accident — ragged, intimate, and completely singular, with a live band that pushes them even further loose.

Dijon Duenas performs as Dijon. Born in 1992, he moved frequently as a child due to his parents' military service before settling near Baltimore. He later studied English at the University of Maryland, where he met Abhirath Raju, and the two began writing together as students, a partnership that grew into the duo Abhi//Dijon before Duenas turned to solo work.

Abhi//Dijon released two EPs and a compilation between 2012 and 2016, closing with the EP Montana. When the pair moved from Maryland to Los Angeles in 2016 they split amicably, and Duenas began contributing backing vocals to Brockhampton's Saturation II before releasing his first solo single, "Stranger," later that year.

His music sits between R&B, folk and indie rock, built around close-mic'd vocals, acoustic guitar and drum programming left deliberately rough. Recordings frequently keep room noise, false starts and overlapping voices in the mix, and his live shows lean on a band playing loosely around him rather than reproducing the records exactly.

His debut album, Absolutely, appeared in 2021 alongside a companion film, and he returned in August 2025 with a second album, Baby. Beyond his own records he works often with producer Mk.gee and has contributed to music by Matt Champion, Charli XCX, Bon Iver and Justin Bieber, work that brought him two Grammy nominations, for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and Album of the Year, both tied to Bieber's album Swag.
