Illenium is the recording name of Nicholas Miller, a producer and DJ based in Denver. He built an early following through remixes and vocal-driven singles in the mid-2010s, developing a strain of melodic dubstep and future bass that pairs conventional pop and emo-leaning song structures with heavy, harmonically rich drops.

His albums, among them Ashes, Awake and Ascend, lean on guest vocalists and frequent collaborators from the same melodic bass circle, including Dabin and Said the Sky. The music is consistently built around a topline rather than a hook fragment, and his live production has scaled up accordingly, moving from clubs to arena and stadium shows over the course of the last decade.
