Lil Texas is an American hardcore and gabber producer and DJ who works at tempos well above the dance-music norm, often in the 180–200bpm range. His tracks combine the distorted kicks and screeching leads of Dutch hardcore and frenchcore with elements borrowed from metal, hardstyle and American rave culture, and he performs in Western dress, using cowboy iconography as a consistent visual identity. The approach has made him one of the more recognisable figures in the recent revival of interest in hardcore and uptempo styles in the United States.
