House of Aviance veteran and one half of The Carry Nation — deep, tribal, unrelenting New York house with ballroom history in its bones.
Nita Aviance is a New York DJ and producer and a member of the House of Aviance, the drag and ballroom house that has been part of the city's club culture since the late 1980s. His sets draw on deep, percussive and tribal strains of house music, with roots in the ballroom scene and the long tradition of New York gay nightlife.
He works alongside Will Automagic as The Carry Nation, a duo known for long, physical DJ sets and for parties that connect contemporary queer dancefloors to older house lineages. Both as a solo DJ and with the duo, he has produced original tracks and remixes for the club.
