Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston's indie trio — bright, restless guitar pop that graduated from bedroom demos to Madison Square Garden.

Wallows came together in Los Angeles out of a friendship that predates the band by years; the three members had been playing music together since they were teenagers, under earlier names, before settling on Wallows and releasing the single "Pleaser" in 2017. Two of them, Dylan Minnette and Braeden Lemasters, were also working as actors at the time, which drew early attention to the group.

Their music leans on jangling, reverb-heavy guitars, loose harmonies and a rhythm section that borrows from post-punk as often as from power pop, with synths and drum machines creeping further in over time. The 2019 debut album Nothing Happens produced "Are You Bored Yet?", a duet with Clairo that became their most widely heard song. Later records, Tell Me That It's Over and Model, kept the guitar interplay while pushing toward cleaner, more pop-oriented production.
