Melody Prochet's French psych-pop, layered and slightly disorienting in the best way — kaleidoscope production around featherweight melodies.

Melody Prochet grew up near Aix-en-Provence, France. Melody's Echo Chamber began after her earlier band, My Bee's Garden, supported Tame Impala on a 2010 European tour, leading her to collaborate with that group's Kevin Parker. He produced her self-titled debut album, released in 2012, with sessions split between his makeshift studio in Perth, Australia, and her grandmother's seaside home in the south of France. The record paired soft, close-miked vocals in French and English with heavily treated guitars and tape-warped psychedelic production.

Bon Voyage was originally planned for 2017 but delayed after Prochet suffered a serious accident that also forced the cancellation of a world tour; it was released in 2018. Emotional Eternal followed in 2022, recorded in Sweden with members of the bands Dungen and The Amazing.

A second album called Unfold, recorded with Parker before their relationship ended during its making, was shelved for years and finally released in 2022 alongside a reissue of the debut. A fourth album, Unclouded, arrived in December 2025 on Domino Recording Company.

The music moves between dream pop and something more restless, with abrupt changes of tempo and texture inside individual songs. Prochet's melodies stay light and unhurried regardless of how dense the arrangements around them become, a quality that has run through the project since its start.
