Melody's Echo Chamber is the project of French musician Melody Prochet, who grew up near Aix-en-Provence. The self-titled debut album arrived in 2012, recorded with Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, and paired soft, close-miked vocals in French and English with heavily treated guitars and tape-warped psychedelic production.
Bon Voyage followed in 2018 and Emotional Eternal in 2022, the latter recorded in Sweden with members of Dungen and The Amazing. The music moves between dream pop and something more restless, with abrupt changes of tempo and texture inside individual songs. Prochet's melodies stay light and unhurried regardless of how dense the arrangements around them become.
