Robby Hoffman is a Canadian-American comedian and writer who grew up in a large Hasidic family in Brooklyn before moving to Montreal as a child, and much of her material draws on that upbringing, on being gay, and on money and family. She performs in a flat, insistent deadpan, often in a suit, working through carefully built bits with little visible effort to charm the room. Alongside stand-up she has written for television and appeared in scripted comedy, and clips of her sets have circulated widely online.
