Sunlit Greek indie-pop that borrows from yacht rock and eighties AOR without irony — breezy on the surface, wistful once you follow the words.

Σtella is the recording name of Athens musician Stella Chronopoulou, who writes and records pop songs drawing on eighties soft rock, disco and synth-pop alongside Greek influences. She has released several albums, including work for the Sub Pop label, and her songs typically pair bright, warm arrangements with lyrics that run cooler than the music suggests. She sings mainly in English and handles much of the writing and production herself.
