The Summer Set formed in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2007, with Brian Dales on vocals and a lineup that includes the Gomez brothers. Their music sits between pop-punk and straightforward pop-rock, with an emphasis on hooks, keyboards and polished production rather than aggression.
The band toured extensively in the early 2010s and became associated with the Warped Tour generation of American pop-rock acts. They announced a breakup in 2017 before regrouping a few years later to record and perform again.
