The Wrecks are an indie rock band from Thousand Oaks, California, formed in 2015 and led by vocalist and songwriter Nick Anderson, who also produces much of the group's material. They emerged with the EP We Are the Wrecks and built an audience through steady touring before releasing full-length albums.

Their songs are guitar-driven and pop-leaning, with conversational verses that open into large, repeated choruses, and lyrics that tend toward relationships and self-deprecation. Anderson's vocal delivery — clipped, rhythmic, occasionally spoken — is a defining feature, and the arrangements are built with live audiences in mind.
