Twin Tribes is a duo from Brownsville, Texas, formed in 2017 by Joel Niño Jr. and Luis Navarro. The pair work in darkwave and gothic rock, building tracks around driving chorused bass lines, drum machines, cold synth lines and deep, heavily reverbed vocals, with clear debts to 1980s post-punk and coldwave.
Records such as Shadows and Ceremony circulated widely through the international goth and darkwave underground, and the band has toured well beyond Texas on the strength of that following.
