Alexis Taylor is an English singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of Hot Chip, the London electronic pop group he co-founded with Joe Goddard. His high, unforced falsetto is one of the more recognisable voices in British dance-pop, and he has also worked in the improvising group About Group and in the collaborative project Hot Chip spun off with other musicians.

Away from the band he has released a run of solo albums that strip the arrangements back considerably, often to piano and voice or to sparse electronics. The solo material tends toward quiet, exposed songwriting, and he has occasionally revisited Hot Chip songs and covers in that reduced setting.
