Fat White Family's Saul Adamczewski gone easy-listening — seedy lounge-pop pearls, sweetness with something unsettling underneath.

Insecure Men is the London project led by Saul Adamczewski, better known for his work in Fat White Family, alongside Ben Romans-Hopcraft of Childhood. Formed in the mid-2010s, the group set Adamczewski's writing against a much softer musical backdrop than his other bands: exotica, easy listening and lounge pop, with vibraphone-like tones, gentle organ and slow, swaying arrangements.

The contrast is the point. The melodies are pretty and the delivery is calm, while the lyrics deal in seedy, uncomfortable subject matter, giving the songs a queasy edge beneath the plush surface. Their self-titled debut album appeared in 2018.
