KennyHoopla is the project of Kenneth La'ron, a singer and songwriter who spent parts of his childhood in Wisconsin and Ohio. His songs borrow from early-2000s indie and dance-punk as much as from pop-punk, built on chiming guitar lines, propulsive drumming and vocals that sit somewhere between hook and shout.
He gained attention with a run of singles in the late 2010s and later worked with Travis Barker on a mixtape released in 2021. Live, his material is played louder and rougher than the recordings, closer to straightforward rock than the polished versions suggest.
