Supercombo
Brazilian indie rock with anxious, plainspoken lyrics, built slowly into one of the country's most devoted followings.
Supercombo formed in Vitória, in Espírito Santo, and spent years playing small rooms around Brazil before wider attention arrived. The songs are guitar rock with clean, direct writing about worry, work and getting older, sung rather than shouted.
"Amianto" is the song that carried them furthest, spreading largely by word of mouth and streaming rather than radio, and audiences tend to sing it back in full. The band has kept the same self-run approach to touring since.
