Swae Lee, born Khalif Brown, is a rapper and singer from Tupelo, Mississippi, who came up alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi as one half of Rae Sremmurd. The duo's early singles established a sound built on trap production and sung, high-register hooks, and Swae Lee's melodic instincts quickly made him a sought-after collaborator outside the group.

His work leans toward pop rap and alternative R&B, with falsetto phrasing often carrying the melody where a rapped verse might otherwise sit.
