Chicago bedroom alt-rock, growing fast — moody hooks with a DIY spine, a bedroom project outgrowing the bedroom.

Worry Club is the project of Chicago-based songwriter Owen Hicks, who began releasing music as a solo bedroom recording effort before building it out into a full band for live performances. The songs pair guitar-driven alt-rock and emo structures with lo-fi production, short running times and lyrics about anxiety, self-doubt and young adulthood. Early tracks found an audience online, which helped move the project from home recordings toward wider release and touring.
