Carolina Durante formed in Madrid in 2017 and became one of the more prominent Spanish guitar bands of their generation, fronted by Diego Ibáñez. Their songs are short, fast and plainly recorded, drawing on punk and scrappy indie rock, with lyrics that treat Spanish social types, youth boredom and self-deprecation with a deadpan comic streak. "Cayetano" gave them an early signature, and they have since moved from small venues to large halls without much changing the approach.
