Solid Grooves boss whose rolling, bass-forward tech-house became the sound of a generation of clubs — London underground gone worldwide.

Michael Bibi is a DJ and producer from London and a central figure in Solid Grooves, the label and party brand that helped define a strand of British tech-house through the late 2010s. His records favour rolling drums, dry percussion and heavy low-end, usually with vocal snippets used as rhythmic texture, and he has built long-running residencies and event series around that sound in Ibiza and elsewhere.

In 2023 Bibi announced he had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and stepped away from touring; he later returned to performing after treatment.
