One Way System
Blackpool's own UK82 veterans, closing a room in their home town — spiked-hair anthems played where they started.
One Way System formed in Blackpool, England, in 1979 and became part of the UK82 wave of street punk that followed the first generation of British punk. Their music is fast and chant-driven, with shouted gang vocals, simple riffs and lyrics concerned with unemployment, authority and everyday frustration.
The band recorded for Anagram Records during the early 1980s and have reformed and toured periodically in the decades since, continuing to play the material that established them.
