The K's
Merseyside indie built for shouting back at — brisk, hook-forward guitar rock that turned a devoted local following into a national one.
The K's formed in 2016 in Earlestown, between Liverpool and Manchester, and spent several years building an audience through touring and self-released singles before signing a record deal. Their sound is fast, guitar-driven indie rock with shouted choruses and short running times, closer to the terrace-friendly end of the northern English guitar tradition than to anything experimental.
Early tracks such as Sarajevo circulated widely among their following long before the band released a full-length record, and their debut album followed in 2024. Live, they are known for crowds that sing the songs back at volume.
