Five
The late-'90s British boy band with the rap verses, reunited and booked entirely on the strength of the incongruity — 'Everybody Get Up' will, in fact, get everybody up.
Five (often styled 5ive) formed in London in 1997, assembled through an open audition by the management team behind the Spice Girls. The group's distinguishing trick was building rap verses into straightforward dance-pop, giving them a slightly rowdier edge than most of their contemporaries. "Everybody Get Up," "Keep On Movin'" and "When the Lights Go Out" were among their hits, along with a cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You" recorded with the band. They split at the turn of the 2000s and have reformed in various line-ups since, playing the songs largely as they were recorded.
