The Ready Set is the solo project of Jordan Witzigreuter, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, who began releasing music independently in the late 2000s before signing with Decaydance. The material is synth-driven pop with a pop-punk lineage — programmed beats, layered vocal hooks and short, chorus-forward songs.
The 2010 single "Love Like Woe" gave the project its widest exposure and remains its best-known track. Witzigreuter has kept the project running through subsequent releases, handling writing and production himself.
