Philly emo with a comedian's timing — sprawling, funny songs that turn genuinely bleak without warning, from a band whose whole name is an iCarly bit played straight.

Carly Cosgrove is an emo band from Philadelphia, formed in 2018. The name is a portmanteau joke built from the iCarly television series and its star, delivered without any further explanation in the music itself. The trio play in the fifth-wave emo idiom: twisting, math-inflected guitar figures, sudden shifts in tempo and volume, and songs that often run past the usual length.

The lyrics move between deadpan humour, self-deprecation and genuine despair, frequently within the same verse, and are delivered in a strained, half-spoken register that tips into shouting. Their records have been released through Wax Bodega.
