Detroit pop songwriter behind 'Cooler Than Me' and 'I Took a Pill in Ibiza' who walked across America and came back writing plainer, more confessional songs.
Mike Posner is a singer, songwriter and producer from Southfield, Michigan, who began releasing mixtapes while studying at Duke University. His 2010 debut album 31 Minutes to Takeoff produced "Cooler Than Me" and "Please Don't Go", and he spent the following years writing and producing for other pop artists. "I Took a Pill in Ibiza", originally an acoustic track from the 2016 album At Night, Alone., became a major international hit after a remix by Norwegian duo SeeB.
In 2019 Posner walked across the United States, an experience that fed into later, more subdued and confessional songwriting. He has also published poetry.
