LUCKI is a rapper from Chicago who began releasing music as a teenager, appearing around 2013 under the name Lucki Eck$ with the mixtape Alternative Trap. That early material arrived alongside a wave of Chicago artists working outside the city's drill sound, and its combination of hazy production and flat, conversational delivery proved widely influential on later underground rap.

He has continued to release music largely through mixtapes and short projects, including the Freewave series and Days B4 III. His songs tend to be built on slow, blurred loops with the vocals sitting low in the mix, and the writing is candid about drug use, paranoia and relationships. LUCKI has also collaborated frequently with producers and peers from the same underground circles, and his phrasing is often cited by younger rappers working in a similar register.
