Gothic disco-pop melodrama — hooks with a broken grin, theatrical sadness you can dance to, camp and heartbreak sharing one microphone.

Jessica Winter grew up in Portsmouth, where she started out playing in punk bands, before settling in London, where she is now based and where she has built her career as a singer, songwriter and producer.

Before going solo she spent well over a decade working within the music industry, including as one half of Pregoblin, a project formed with Fat White Family's Alex Sebley, alongside session and production work for other artists.

Her songs pair bright, club-adjacent production with lyrics about anxiety, obsession and self-sabotage, delivered with an openly theatrical, campy edge. Solo, she moves between sunrise-lit piano ballads, alt-90s rock and 2000s pop touches, rarely repeating the same approach twice.

She released a run of EPs and singles that established her within the more experimental fringe of British pop, followed last year by her solo debut album, My First Album, released through Lucky Number Music.
