The 'Drone Logic' architect live — strobe-lit techno with a shoegaze heart, walls of texture that blur the line between club and gig.

Daniel Avery is an English electronic producer and DJ who emerged from the London club scene and released his debut album, Drone Logic, on Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound in 2013. His work draws on acid house, techno and the textural side of shoegaze and ambient music, favouring repetition and slowly shifting layers of noise over conventional song structures.

Later records have moved further toward ambient and drone, and he has collaborated with Alessandro Cortini of Nine Inch Nails. In a live setting he performs with hardware rather than DJing, building long, loud passages of distorted synthesis and machine rhythm.
